Dear Grandma,
Many have expressed interest in participating in Grandpa's "chemo blanket project". It is an awesome idea and a great way to honor your sweet generous spirit. This is what is needed for the project:
Soft fleece blankets-good to snuggle in during chemo treatments. We've seen some at Walmart, Kohls, Sam's, Shopko, etc. ranging from $10 to $20. Average size is 60 x 80 (give or take).
Those that want to participate can drop off their blankets to grandpa or our mom (Natalie) before Thankgiving. The plan is to take all the blankets (goal = 200) to the Cancer Treatment Center the day after Thanksgiving.
We miss you more everyday! Time is an interesting thing, today it has been a week since you've been gone. Hopefully all the weeks to come don't last as long as this one.
We love you!
Forever and Always,
Jax, Justus, Jace, Jett
Dear Little Ones,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on the blanket project. I can see your Grandpa Randy is filling 2 sets of shoes now and doing a wonderful job of it. Your Grandma Kandace is proud of you all. I pray the days and weeks will get easier.
Love,
Penny
This is such a marvelous idea. I would love to help with this. The cancer center is such an incredible place. The energy in that place is incredible. This is such an incredible idea. I will talk to BATC about this also. Great idea!!!! I was so impressed that your dad went to the cancer center on what was your mom's chemo day. I don't want this comment to sound weird, but I miss the Cancer Center and still also stop by sometimes. I still see your Mom's sparkling blue eyes and her beautiful face. You look so much like her.
ReplyDeleteI would love to donate some blankets. I can't wait to see how many you get!
ReplyDeleteBless your amazing family at this time! It is like you and your family to be thinking of others when you are hurting!
